By downloading or using CapyLater ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. The app
CapyLater lets you save links, screenshots and text for later, organize them, and clean up your photo library. All of your data is stored on your device; the app has no accounts and no servers (see the Privacy Policy).
2. License
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the app on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the app, except as the law allows.
3. Free trial and lifetime purchase
- New users can use every feature free for 7 days. The trial does not turn into a paid purchase automatically, and you are never charged without buying.
- After the trial, saving new items and cleaning up your photo library require the one-time "CapyLater Lifetime" purchase. Everything you have already saved stays viewable, searchable and exportable without purchase.
- "Lifetime" means a one-time payment, with no subscription, that unlocks the app for as long as we offer it, on devices signed in with the Apple Account used to buy it. It includes all current features and new features released within one year of your purchase. Features you have unlocked will not be taken away.
- Payment, the trial and refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store's terms. To ask for a refund, go to reportaproblem.apple.com. You can restore a purchase with "Restore purchase" in the app.
- Prices may vary by country and may change; a change never affects a purchase already made.
4. Your content
You are responsible for the content you save and for having the right to save it. Content saved from websites and social media belongs to its owners; the app stores it on your device for your personal use. Links and previews of third-party content are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for third-party websites, services or their content.
5. Photo library cleanup
The app suggests photos and videos you may want to delete, but you decide what to delete, and iOS asks you to confirm every deletion. Deleted items stay in the Photos app's "Recently Deleted" album for 30 days, where you can recover them. Suggestions (such as "similar" or "blurry") are automatic and can be wrong; please review them before deleting. If you use iCloud Photos, deletions also apply to your other devices.
6. Your data and backups
Your data lives only on your device. If you delete the app or set up a new device without a backup, your data cannot be recovered by us. We recommend keeping a backup file (Settings › Backup) or an iCloud/computer backup of your device.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use the app to break the law or to infringe anyone's rights.
8. Changes and availability
We may update, change or stop parts of the app. We'll aim to give notice in the app before removing features that are part of a purchase.
9. Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, that link previews or place information will be accurate, or that suggestions in photo cleanup will be correct. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app. This does not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for intent or gross negligence.
11. Apple App Store terms
- These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
- If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation regarding the app.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for any claims relating to the app or your use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to legal requirements, and consumer protection or privacy claims.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for investigating and defending any claim that the app infringes a third party's intellectual property rights.
- You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must comply with applicable third-party terms (for example, your wireless data agreement) when using the app.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without affecting any mandatory consumer protection laws of the country where you live.
13. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, we will update this page and the effective date. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
